About Me
I am Halil, a passionate UX designer in my mid-30s. Born and raised in Germany with Turkish roots, my love for design and art started young. I was constantly tinkering in my head, redesigning things I saw, or even creating entirely new concepts. While the execution on paper wasn’t always perfect back then, the ideas were always flowing!
Fast forward to today: I’ve honed my skills and mastered a diverse toolbox of techniques to bring those ideas to life. But the core remains the same – the relentless pursuit of innovative solutions.
Problem-solving is my superpower, especially the trickier challenges that push the boundaries. For almost 7 years, I’ve put this superpower to work at CARIAD, part of the Volkswagen Group. There, I had the opportunity to collaborate with various brands within the Volkswagen universe, gaining valuable experience across a wide range of design projects.
Since 2025, I’ve been working as an independent UX designer, embracing new challenges and helping companies create meaningful digital products. What excites me most is collaborating with inspiring people, ambitious teams, and forward-thinking partners who share a passion for building exceptional experiences.
I would describe myself as a creative maker and a part-time over-thinker, which can be secret weapons when it comes to solving complex problems and making thoughtful decisions.

If you’ve already explored the EV Route Planner project in my portfolio, you’ve seen one example of this cross-brand approach in action. The solution has since been launched across several brands, with each implementation tailored to their specific needs while sharing the same core experience.

My Tools
As I already mentioned, here are a few tools I am familiar with. Some I gained over the last few years, some I just learned. I am new to Blender for example, but the outputs can be seen. As a designer in a continuously changing world, it is my responsibility to gain new possibilities to reach my target in an efficient and aesthetic way.
